Aldora

Aldora used to be a paradise. An Utopia run on sorcery. The immense power of its magicians eliminated all disease, hunger, and need for suffering. But, as these things usually tend to go, Magic went too far. Just one botched experiment, and the ties between the magical realms and Aldora were shattered. Society collapsed. It took three centuries for it to somewhat recover. Now, 700 years after the collapse, the ancient times of plenty are a long forgotten memory. The world is divided into despotic states squabbling over land, people and the last remaining sources of magic. It is only a matter of time until Aldora descends into war and chaos once again.
