Leshen Farming

Leshen are a carnivorous race, meaning that they ranch instead of farming. They are not picky with the sort of creature in their ranches, any animal is free game to them. While shipping meat that isn't cured is a difficult task for any long distance, Leshen still manage to make profits for themselves with the many other products that animals can produce: furs, leathers, bones, sinews, bodily fluids, among many other more exotic products. Leshen make their mostly equally from all the races of Aldiena, however they make extra profit from the ****AUTOMATONS**** as they require plenty of types of flesh for their society (not necissarily for eating).

Qualifications

Anyone can be a rancher, but it takes years of experience to be a truly great one that can create creatures that will produce bountiful products.

Career Progression

An aspiring rancher may study under another more experienced one as a sort of internship, but more often than not it is just keeping up the family business.

Ranchers are well recieved, being the main source of food for the Leshen, and are payed handsomely for it.

History

When the Leshen were first awakened they maintained their food source as hunter/gatherers. Groups of hunters would venture out into the forests/jungles around the area and bring in very large amounts of game. They swiftly realized that this would run their food source dry, so the leshen swiftly shifted their focus from being the most efficient hunters to being the most efficient ranchers. As Leshen are very ravenous, they need to dedicate a large portion of their society to ranching.

Leshen ranches mostly depend on the environment they find themselves in. Leshen by a source of water may be fish ranchers, with natural rivers being turned into spawning beds. Leshen deep in a jungle have very diverse ranches, from bird cages to more normal fenced in areas to keep large livestock.
