Tiberius Ember

Emperor Tiberius Ember (a.k.a. The Paragon)

Tiberius Ember, The Paragon, The First Emperor, was the founder of the Emberian Empire and the discoverer of the worldrunes. An avid studier of the Progenitor prophecy, Ember believed that the secret to understanding it was in rediscovering the worldrunes which had been used to bind Abdera. After a failed expedition to Val'Anar, Ember mounted an expedition to the Ak'Shan desert to the ruins of Azir. After finding a hidden cave in Azir, Ember discovered the worldrunes.   With the power of the worldrunes, Ember and his scions were able to conquer all of Rhallia.   Ember's last years were marred by chronic illness. Afflicted with a chronic cough, he was no longer able to hold court after his 80th birthday and nominated his firstborn son, Emir to take over his duties at court. He retired to his home in Ibri, Hisan in hopes that the dry air would aid his failing lungs. After almost a decade, he returned to Dawnwall, where he passed away surrounded by his family.   Ember's legacy was so great that it signaled the changing of the age. Celebrated throughout Rhallia as a hero and reviled throughout the Elven and Orcish kingdoms as a blight, Ember remains one of the most polarizing figures of all time.

Childhood and Early Life

In a small house outside of Nidavel, the future emperor Tiberius Ember was born to Sera and Thomas Ember. Sera tended to the farm while Thomas sold common goods in Nidavel. At a young age, Tiberius was fascinated with reading and would read whatever books he could. He had an Elvish friend would would give him books to read and would tell him tales about the Progenitor prophecy - that across the world the great celestials were trying to warn and teach the mortal races about what would occur. Tiberius was fascinated with the concept of the prophecy and studied it furiously   At age 18, he was sent to the Academy to further his studies. He spent every waking hour studying the prophecy and the origins of magic. Eventually, he came to the conclusion that the key to understanding the prophecy was in discovering the worldrunes. He set upon a study and found clues that the worldrunes had some origin in Val'Anar, the ancestral home of the elves.
