History
Formed initially as a routine resting point for a group of travelling Bard's, the settlement was built around a makeshift theatre they set up to entertain other passersby and to earn themselves some coin on the road, hundreds of years later the location of Botrane has developed from smal dwelling to market town to bustling city.
Points of interest
A Large Oak tree grow in the centre of town by the theatre.
Tourism
Theatre Enthusiasts from all over Lyria come to watch the shows at Botrane, also Food critics come to try the restaurants and street food. Unfortunately the only place to stay is the Brothel, although I'm sure most don't mind so much.

Classic Western Human architecture, most of the house are built from wood with key buildings being stone construction.
Geography
Botrane is located on a plain overlooking a cliff edge to the sea.
Climate
Climate is mild, heavy rain being the most extreme common weather type, it is green 9 months of the year with a mild winter.
Natural Resources
Wood in the nearby forest and salt from the sea, not much access to ores. plentiful livestock is raised in the farms and game from the forest is abundant most of the year.
