Common Thunder Bird
Description
Unsurprising to learn is that the Common Thunderbird is by far the most wide spread of any Thunder Eagle SubSpecies. Though this should in no way detract from their awesome power. Resembling the Non Anomalous Golden Eagle in all but size these mighty creatures have appeared across multiple cultures, folklore and mythology.Morphology
On average a Common Thunderbird has a wingspan of around 16 metres, and often stands at around 9 metres tall when fully grown. This imposing stature only serves to enforce their power, their feathers glisten with arcane magics giving an energetic blue iridescence to their otherwise brown feathers. In most instances Common Thunderbirds are almost all muscle, capable of gliding under their own power and tearing through metal wise ease. Their razor sharp beaks and talons are hooked in order to inflict large amounts of damage to any would-be prey. Though the common Thunderbird would rarely resort to such violent means for anything other than hunting.Abilities
Thunderbirds possess no unique Abilities compared to others of their species, nor do they show any marked superiority in any one feat. Of course their ability to fly is without question, along with their Atmospheric Manipulation abilities.Behaviour and Psychology
Though their name bears the word common, let this not fool you, these great creatures still command respect. One should be wary of upsetting a Thunderbird, regardless of its subspecies.Habitat & Diet
Common Thunderbirds can be found across the world, atop many of the world's ancient mountain ranges. They are without a doubt the most widespread of all Thunderbirds with the vast majority of sighted instances being this subspecies. Common Thunderbirds show no abnormal or species specific dietary needs.Combat & Containment
Fortunately due to their widespread nature standard combat and containment protocols are in place for dealing with Common Thunderbirds. For all intensive purposes they can be treated as the standard for Thunderbird encounters.Footnotes
