African Thunder Bird
Description
Found only in sub Saharan Africa this subspecies most closely resembles a secretary bird in general appearance. Towering over its cousins the African Thunderbird struts its home as if it were a king. African Thunderbirds are the continent's resident avian kings of the sky.Morphology
Imposing in stature even for the species African Thunderbirds stand at around 11 metres tall. Most of this height comes from the long and slender legs of the entity, feathers beginning at the knee almost giving the appearance of breaches. The feathers of an African Thunderbird are a two tone black and white, an iconic look among its species. Though perhaps most unique is the colouration around the face of the African Thunderbird. Around the eyes and beak where upon other species there lays feathers on the African Thunderbird there is instead a bare bright orange colouration. This mimics the non anomalous secretary bird also found in the region though serves as one of the more iconic looks for Thunderbirds.Abilities
African Thunderbirds possess no unique Abilities compared to others of their species, nor do they show any marked superiority in any one feat. Of course their ability to fly is without question, along with their Atmospheric Manipulation abilities.Behaviour and Psychology
African Thunderbirds display no abnormal Psychology or Behaviours for their species.Habitat & Diet
African Thunderbirds are exclusively found in sub Saharan Africa, with many considering the sub species to be the continent's resident Thunderbirds. This being said, African Thunderbirds display no dramatically different preferences in their habitats or diets, staying by their mountain homes and hunting only annually in many instances.Combat & Containment
Fortunately due to their widespread nature standard combat and containment protocols are in place for dealing with African Thunderbirds. For all intensive purposes they can be treated as the standard for Thunderbird encounters.Footnotes
