AKOZ

After a fifth global cataclysm, Earth, now known as AKOZ, is slowly unfreezing and would reveal a new world. It maintained its many natural features and landscapes, however, continents have shifted, fractured, merged, risen, or sunk while new oceans formed or mixed with a previous. New mountain ranges and forests sprung up in different parts of the world, weather patterns have changed due to climate and atmosphere changes, and much of the life of what was once Earth is now extinct or nearly so. This renovated world has new sites and areas to traverse and explore, new seas to cross, and more passages and trenches to find lost treasures. Though much has been lost, there are also many new things to gain.   The remaining intelligent human inhabitants of the previous civilizations, now called Akozians, slowly recolonized the planet, with only memories and stories of the past partially preserved and much of which would eventually become distorted later in time or forgotten. Though new civilizations beckoned, not all was well or peaceful.   Many of the civilizations encountered supernatural entities that were thought to be spirits or guides of some sort. They provided much knowledge to humans and many of them became worshiped. Religions and cults formed, most of which promoted chaotic behaviors.
