Akila

Akila (named after the woman that gave her life to mold the planet) is the world built of magic. The same magic that it's inhabitants have used in different ways for centuries. The land has been shaped by the giant god of the mountains, heated by the mortal gods of the cities and towns, sanded by the scaled gods of the shores, and preserved by the fairy gods of the sky. The gods gave magic to the many races that call this world home.   The largest cities are home to the fire gods that are elected every two years; once your time as a fire god is done you must relinquish the divine power that was "given" to you by the elemental Salamander even though the Salamander is the representation of an element as a whole.   The mountains are arranged like a wall around the center of the continent of Ull to surround the dark lands where the unforgivable magic is born. It is unclear what is classified as unforgivable magic but many towns has seen it as strange new magic which leads many city states to outlaw any creation of new magic which in itself outlaws certain gods.
