This demon ran nightmare was once the pillar of technology and societal progress in the region. Once a vassel of the Empire of Winchester; in 1620 Almara broke off in a successful revolution. It then began a process of rapid industrialization.   In 1899 the nation suffered it's biggest crisis yet. The Rise of the Archivists. If not for the actions of five souls the city would have lost it's freedom.   Unfortunately this peace was short lived. For in 1905 demonic incursions caused the city government to collapse. This was believed to be an inside job. 2 Million people died over the course of the take over. Now the people live in fear of their new overlords with many turning to darker gods in hopes of freeing themselves.
