Poppy Sandyfoot

"Though she be but little, she is fierce." - A Midsummer Night's Dream, Act 3, Scene 2

Poppy Sandyfoot is a halfling child who wants to be an adventurer when she grows up. She is 24 years old, (the human equivalent of an eleven-year-old). Spunky, hard-headed, and always looking for trouble, Poppy lives for adventure stories and dreams of going on adventures of her own one day, hunting monsters, collecting bounties, and saving people. She shows strong Lawful Good moral alignment, though she is really more Chaotic Good. She also shows bravery, though her current adventure shows that she may have bitten off more than she can chew, and that adventuring is harder than she thought. As the orcs were attacking the harvest festival, she decided to help her father in the guards try to fight them off. Her little brother followed her in, and he was captured. Seeing this level of violence for the first time has shown her a part of the world she was oblivious to before. It frightens her, but she will not let her fear keep her from fighting for her people, or from rescuing her brother.

The family name "Sandyfoot" comes from the sandy-blond hair (a rare trait in halflings) that is common in this family. Halflings who inherit this trait have it on both their heads and the tops of their feet, another trait that is rare as halflings usually have darker hair on their feet than on their heads.
