A Doge rules over the Republic, elected by the Councillers in the city of Macia. His power is mostly limited by the other bodies of legislature.

300 hundred small galleys, 123 war galleys, 34 carracks, 23 galleasses, and 3 immense flagships. Their army numbers roughly about 15,000 heavy infantrymen, about 500 knights, some 8,000 professional archers, and upwards of 40,000 marines. With reserves of wealth in the hundreds of thousands of pounds, Macia can easily hire 1000's of mercenaries to assist in their operations.
Foreign Relations
The Republic maintains friendly relations with most Iadic powers. The military is competent, and their navy excellent, but are in no hurry to aggresively expand against its current borders. It bullies smaller powers like Damia and Alevara, and has warred with Matova and Bolora, the former over river access, the latter over aggressive piracy of their ships.
