Architecture
The original house was built of oakwood and stone, but the newer sections were built with brick and stuccoed. Before long they began to renovate the original structure and even the original materials were replaced. The wood from the structure was kept and with a little wood shaping magic, were turned into very fine furniture that are kept in the current Hanno's home office. The interior of the home is structured with glorious halls and chambers, with side passages running all throughout that initially were put in to have the help move about unnoticed, but have begun to serve other purposes as the Oakcreek Distribution business changed over the years.
History
The Oakcreek Estate was purchased by Terrence Thatcher in 1328. At the time, it was just a large plot of farmland. No buildings, no fences, just large open dirt and a single oak tree. Terrence cut down the tree and used the wood to build a small farmhouse. Terrence gave the plot the name Oakcreek and farmed the land for 200 years before passing on the property to his son, Eustice of Oakcreek. He continued to run the farm, but had other ideas in mind for the future of Oakcreek. He began taking orders for his neighbors and transporting them hidden on his wagon from market. This grew into a full delivery service with people bringing packages and other requests to their office in Murkharbour proper. This increase in wealth led to an increase in the size of the home, additions, servant chambers, remodeling, etc. In 1885 Victor Oakcreek took over the family home and the family business.
