It’s not easy being a noble. At least, that’s what Jaret says. Or, as he prefers to be called, Jaret Vogelbond Kamer the Fifth. Jaret was born and raised a noble, not only a noble, but a noble of the Waterdeep variety.
He was given everything from birth. The gift of wealth, to read, have comfort, and most importantly, learn music. Music was one of the few ways Jaret was allowed to express his emotion, because being a noble, meant you had to act like one. It was through his emotion, that he discovered his magical abilities.
Jaret discovered he could weave his magic from his words, and emotions, not that anyone noticed, or cared for that matter. His many brothers and sisters were off, dining with their husbands and wives, or attending political matters in other cities.
Oddly enough, Jaret’s Mother and Father noticed him less than his grown siblings. Dinner and wine were more important to the old nobles than their youngest son.
With time, Jaret learned how to control his powers. He began sneaking out to local taverns, performing songs, reading poems he wrote, telling greatly embellished precarious situations in danger or with women. Jaret soon realized he has had more fun out, socializing, earning meager amount of coin, performing, than he has ever had in his entire life.
So, he eventually snuck out, without coin, never turning back. He spent many years harnessing his abilities, weaving his words to create magic. He had little other practice fighting other than targeting oversized rodents, but eventually, performing wore thin. Sure, he still enjoyed it. But he needed something else in his life, he needed… adventure.
With a few successful jobs to deal with smaller wolves, he decided he was ready for the next step up. And what was the best place to make a questionable contractual agreement? Waterdeep.
And so, after years of traveling across the lands, Jaret Vogelbond Kamer the Fifth headed back to his hometown, Waterdeep. Where suddenly, he was taken to an unfamiliar place...
