Defiant Rebirth

Rebels calling themselves the ones that will overthrow this corrupt system and "dethrone" those within the council they deem are undeserving of their positions.
Defiant Rebirth had popped up about 20 years ago in response to one of the worse military disasters to happen within the last 100 years in an event now known as The Decimation of Min-4. The event was such as an attempt by the Intergalactic Assembly to rid the city of Min-4 on the planet Meguna of an unexpected threat. Some of the wild life of the planet had been mutated in a suspicious series of events that was never investigated or explained. Something the common man questions, but questions that all but sit in the background of the memory of the Intergalactic Assembly's use of a Supernova mage that went horribly wrong, leveling Min-4 in an instant, killing most of it's inhabitants and military members who had gone to help. The mutated beasts fairing even worse as not a single creature was left standing nor was the mage anywhere to be found after the catastrophic explosion that emitted from them.
Needless to say Meguna receded from the Assembly and became hateful towards the group as a whole. The residence that survived most of all felt such a bitterness and anger, giving rise to the perfect storm of unrest where Defiant Rebirth could form and come to a position of power on the planet.
