The Blec Dimensional Well

“Weary is the weak soul of the mighty, silent pull of Blec.”

The Blec Dimensional Well refers to the extra-dimensional phenomenon in which bodiless souls are pulled down into the fourth major reality, Blec. It can be thought of a sort of funnel, with the other realities resting at the top of the slope, and Blec and its other layers waiting at the bottom. Studies of this ‘funnel’ first began with the experiments of Shakali Ikano in 7m.009, in which Ikano tracked the movement of captured souls through the cosmos with a Corvant. Subsequent studies were performed by the Guild of Expeditions, in which they attempted to send spirits to record their journey through the funnel. What they found of their outsourced adventures is that only the stronger spirits returned, while the weaker ones never returned at all. 

Based on current understanding of the Well, dimensional scientists have an answer to Moretoria’s lack of disembodies souls: they fell down into Blec. With this theory established, it is now common consensus that Blec is the long-enigmatic World of The Dead, as imagined throughout the centuries by a myriad of cultures and societies. It is even thought that a weak enough soul- even one with a body- may still fall into Blec if not properly secured to its current reality. This idea is used to explain the seemingly unexplainable and random deaths of the insane and ill.
