Social Structure
Trolls are fiercely loyal to their families and organize into clans and moots, an alliance of several clans. Some of these clans, such as the Crystal Raiders of the Twilight Peaks, are known for their ariships which they use to raid lowland settlements and caravans. Trolls place great value on honor, personal, clan and racial. Many trolls do not take kindly to insults as they are an affront to a troll's honor. If a highland troll is found guilty of a crime against honor, they will sometimes have their horns cut off, marking them as "mud people" and exiling them from troll society. Some trolls will voluntarily undergo this punishment as a way of maintaining their personal honor and often take pride in their status as outcasts.
