Deterannis' Swords

An elite and expensive mercenary band in Kratas , this group operates out of The Stables . The group prefers massed battles, but are also excellent guerrilla warriors as well. Few of the mercenaries in Kratas are up to the exacting standards necessary to join this group, so there are only about 100 mercs in the organization. Almost all of the mercenaries are Adepts, and all are extremely loyal as the founder, Detranis , treats his men well.
Most of the group are Warriors, Archers and Cavalrymen, but there are also a fair number of Scouts, Weaponsmiths and various magicians.
In the case of a job that requires more men than are available, Detranis is not above hiring temporary recruits, including adventurers. Those who show cowardice, a predilection to looting or otherwise don't meet the exacting standards of the band are dismissed. In extreme cases, they are slain.
The band has taken over a large walled compound on the south side of Drover's square that was once the headquarters of a dwarf trading company. The compound includes extensive stales, warehouses that now serve as barracks and a mansion that is Detranis ' personal quarters.
