Death's Sea

The sea bordering the southern edge of Barsaive is a roiling, churning sea full of True Fire and volcanic rock. Only the strongest can survive in Death's Sea nd, if legend is to be believed, the Passions trapped Death itself beneath the sea's surface, to be freed when enough blood is spilled.
Whether the myths are true or not, the se is inhospitable to Namegivers but home to a variety of elemental spirits and creatures that find the intense heat and volcanic rock comfortable. Though dangerous to traverse, some Namegivers do so in specially-protected airships to mine the abundant True Fire to be found here.
