Black Mercy

This poison comes form the black mercy flower. In the wild, the flower's pollen attracts animals which soon die; their decomposing bodies enrich the soil around the plant. When ingested or inhaled, black mercy induces a sense of euphoria and vivid hallucinations in which the victim imagines his fondest wishes granted. While under the poison's influence, the victim is unaware of the world around him. If he is given regular doses he will eventuall die from starvation or thirst. A single dose, however, wears off in a matter of hours with no lasting effect.
