Berkshire Silver Mine

This mine produced silver for the small hamlet of Berkshire pre-Scourge. Shortly before the Scourge began, the silver mine dried up. The residents took refuge in the mine and tried to wait out the Scourge. They failed and all of the hamlet died.
Today, the mines are off-limits, for fear that there might be Horrors lurking down there. One of the mine's branches lead to the once-flooded offal pit at the Berkshire Stock Yards , the water held back by an elemental device that was destoryed by ghouls in a battle with the Company of the Free Voice .
The left branch of the mine is flooded now, thanks to the destruction of the elemental device keeping the water back. But at least the ghouls are gone.
The other fork ends at an iron door, emblazoned with the symbol of an eagle above it. The door is locked.
