Dhampir
The product of a union between a male vampire and a female human, dhampirs are excessively rare, and currently there is no real explanation for how they are able to exist, as largely it was thought that vampires could not have children.
Basic Information
Anatomy
As with vampires, dhampirs usually look human, although they can be pale if they haven't fed in a while. When hungry/ agitated they may put on their 'game face', with vampiric long fangs and strangely coloured eyes (the colour of which will vary depending on their human eye colour).
Genetics and Reproduction
Dhampirs are sterile, and cannot reproduce. They cannot turn humans into dhampirs or into vampires through a blood exchange.
Growth Rate & Stages
Dhampirs will grow at a normal human rate until late puberty (around age 17), when their ageing will slow down exponentially.
Dietary Needs and Habits
They can survive on human food or on blood, although they need to drink blood (human or animal) at least once every few months to stay strong.
Additional Information
Social Structure
As dhampirs are incredibly rare, it is highly unlikely that one will ever meet another one, hence they do not have their own social structures. Generally, they must hope that either humans or vampires will take them in, although many choose to go it alone.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
They have heightened senses, and are stronger and faster than average humans, although not as much as vampires.
