Personal history

After assuming the role of count in 723, he soon had to contend with the Second Riverland Rebellion. Although it was ultimately put down with the help of the provincial government, the inability to quell it immediately was seen as a failure on his part. But later on he proved to be a competent ruler and managed to ingratiate himself with the governor of South Ienazh. Due to his recommendation, the Empress named Niko as his successor. Niko never married but adopted and raised a daughter who took up his position as Countess of Vanazha after he became governor. He died peacefully at the age of 77.

Education

Was sent to the Imperial Academy in Resal at the age of 7, where he received a comprehensive education to prepare him for his eventual role as a statesman. He was a model student and left the academy a year early.
