Lä'si Republic

Structure

The Republic is lead by the "Industrious Hand", who is elected semi-democratically by land-owning citizens. The People's Hall, Lä'si's legislative body, is made up of elected represantatives of the five federal states and has considerable power over the Hand. Inherited titles are explicitly forbidden, even going so far as to forbid children of state officials to take public office. The power lies instead with the wealthy, as all campaigns have to be self-funded, to prove that person's "industriousness". Civil wars are frequent.
