Dzuamut

The Dzuamut tribe was a semi-nomadic tribe of pony riders who herded Mutane in the grassy plains just north of the mountain range when they eventually settled land on the Eastern edge where the mountains became less steep, taking parcels of land from the Matkosh and establishing settled "bases" with nomadic herders. These herders spent the summer season traveling the Dzuamut territory with either their own herds or family herds, establishing borders and grazing their animals. Winters would be spent at home in established settlements, where the Mutane wool would be spun and woven into traveling art pieces and textiles. Dzuamut people are recognizable to other tribes by their distinctive green eyes, which are very common amongst their people due to an ancient legend regarding the trait. To the Dzuamut, green eyes reflected their ties to a folkloric figure, the wily Viutang.
