Theus (Thee-Us)

The primeval world of Theus, the original world of the Primordial Titans.   A world of primal and conflicting energies formed out of the proto-matter of the Elemental Chaos, given form and life through the will and dominance of the Primordial Titans.   The Primordials were not the only creatures that inhabited the world, as ancient forms of creatures that embodied the essence of the Elemental Chaos evolved and took the form of the first proto-dragons, known as the Linnorm Wyrms. These gargantuan creatures imbued themselves with the essence of the Elemental Chaos and became the catastrophic forces of their world.   Theus was a tempestuous sea of ever-changing terrain and clashing elements, with stability only enforced in isolated locations. Its entire environment was chaotic and hostile, where all the elements dissolved into a single mix of colliding energies. The places of safety were only formed through the will and power of mighty elemental beings, and creatures that fought for their territory and dominance - these places reflecting the nature of its creator and ruler. Several Titans resided upon the world, and all fought between one another for dominance.   It was so chaotic that the core of the world was visible through the cracks in the earth and under the oceans, and its burning fires and chaos provided the only light within the world, and the topside was enshadowed by the large forms of the creatures that inhabited it. Weather was indeterminable, as it was possible for the skies to ignite in flames, become vacuums, flooded or filled with the corpses of Titans competing for power between one another. As death did not truly exist in this realm, the inhabitants did not 'die' but rather their forms would coalesce into raw primal elemental energy and be consumed, feeding to those that destroyed it. In this way, all the inhabitants of Theus were considered god-like beings and were, arguably, immortal.   The Linnorms dominated their own regions but were always pushed out by scores of Titans that momentarily allied, competed and betrayed one another. The greatest and strongest of their kind, also the most reviled, was one that had evolved beyond the form of a Linnorm and was known as the First True Dragon - Asgorath the World-Shaper. His form had evolved beyond the other Linnorms, and called himself the first true Dragon, capable of flying and soaring through the skies of the world. Through this power, he gained an advantage that rivalled all other Linnorms, and managed to fell many other Titans and absorbing their essence into himself.

THE GREAT COLLISION

The chaotic realm of Theus was forever changed when the planet was suddenly launched into a collision course against an ethereal-natural world known as Aeth. The two worlds collided and crushed, burned, broke and split the worlds - reigning thousands of years of cataclysmic storms and earthquakes as the worlds bonded together through the intervention of the Spirit of Life within Aeth. The creatures of Aeth sought the sanctuary of the Ethereal Realm whilst the Primordials were subjected to the great apocalypse, only the greatest of them surviving and competing against one another - surviving due to their immortality. The Linnorms took advantage of this chaos, and imbued themselves with the catastrophic energies of the planets collision, gaining prominence over their territories and expanding in place of the displaced Primordials.   Forever after, the world that bonded together from the ruinous remains of Aeth and Theus became known as Aetheus.
