Origin from the Planet of Aetheria, orbiting Aetheria Prime in a binary star system with Xelusia Prime (destroyed in Cataclysm War)
During the first Kingdom War, the twin kingdoms split between the worship of The Light and the rising worship of the Shadows. The Aetherians won and spared the alien entity called the Devourer and sealed it in a prison of sorts on Xelusia, but that did not stop its influence or that of its two primary servants the Cruorlena (blood queen, later called the Siren Queen) and the Umbrarex (lord of shadows)
Prayers to the Great Light and the Celestials, seeking visions from the Oracles of Light, and duty to the kingdom were the defining traits in the early years but as time passed (50,000 years) the societal rules became stricter, and one's birth determined their value to society for their entire lives regardless of their skill, magic, or courage of their heart. Their technology barely evolved between the first and second war. After 50k years, many common housers and unhoused were also losing their magic as were the royal and high houses. Xelusian practices, including the use of blood magic to thieve the power of the blood giver, were seeping into Aetherian culture along with toxic elitist attitudes.
In the decades between the Second Kingdom War and the Cataclysm war, a group of oracles, mages and techs led but the High Houses of Adamos and Odini began building an ark of sorts. The High Oracle Yllumina of Yophriel had seen the Cataclysm coming but the King did not believe, so they decided with the House of Rundas to save as many children as they could, just over 5,000, and send them into exile on the planet Terrearth (alternate Earth) 220 light years away.
