Shell Point
Resting on a plateau in the middle of the desert, Shell Point houses many of the workers in the nearby mines. The mines, and the town itself, are owned and governed by Winston Mining Company, stewarded by Charles Winston himself. Mining activity is responsible for the majority of the economy of Shell Point, with most other resources they acquire coming in through trade. Some light manufacturing occurs in Shell Point, but most resources extracted from the mines are exported to be processed elsewhere.
Demographics
There are two main economic classes in Shell Point: the workers, and the overseers. Overseers maintain and direct mining operations, while the workers go into the mine. Overseers are much wealthier than the workers.
Government
Shell Point is governed by the Winston Mining Company. Not only do they legislate and police, but they also have provided housing and food for the working population.
Defences
Winston Mining Company employs mercenaries to police the population as well as protect against invaders, human or otherwise.
Industry & Trade
Most people in Shell Point are workers who go into the mines and extract materials. The overseers supervise the mining operations, organize trade, and maintain the settlement. Materials from the mine are the primary export, but most other goods are imported.
Infrastructure
The mines around the plateau are the most notable constructions of Shell Point.

There is a wealth of raw materials from the mines.
Guilds and Factions
Winston Mining Company was once the only faction in town, but recently the Shell Point Mining Union was formed by the workers to demand better conditions.
Architecture
Houses for the workers are more like barracks, constructed of lumber and held together with flimsy construction. The overseers live in more elaborate houses built of metals from the mine.
Geography
The settlement is built atop a plateau. Canyons run around nearby where the mines are built into.
Natural Resources
All sorts of metals can be found inside the mines.
