Aeteru

The world of Aeteru, based on the Japanese word Ēteru meaning Ether. A world that is rebuilding after the fall of humanity.   At the turn of the Era the world was bombarded with meteors and the humanity was all but wiped out. With 99.995% of the humans dead, the remaining 350,000 survivors were thrown back into the stone age.   Meanwhile the planet was being covered by a new element that humans would later call Ether. It began fusing with the environment and creating Ether Crystals that had Elemental Affinities. Not long after it began fusing with the creatures of the planet and created  creatures that would later be called Either-Shima.   As humanity grew, nations formed, wars began and two main factions rose. The Church Of Enlightened Ether based it's beliefs around the purity of either and the Etherian Empire wished to merge Either and Technology for the betterment of humanity.   However the Empires Neighbours believed the empire was looking to control the worlds supply of either.   The war came to an abrupt halt and a temporary truce was put in place once the Azuma Unified Nation started to attack other nation in organised raids on the Union of Azka states.
