The Pantheon of Aeternum

Believed to have once lived in our plane, no longer...   Whether they abandoned us or entrusted us with their creation, we still look to the stars in hope that we'll find the truth of their history - and maybe even one day get to be among them. Many denizens of our world seek shelter and faith in the teachings and temples of these deities. Others may seek to exploit their power, or perhaps pursue the very inspiration of them. Whatever your belief is, there's no denying the most plausible theory for our evolution comes directly from these figures.   Each deity is believed to have held power in one of the three courts - a system commonly used to materialize the three main factors of our cosmic being. Two deities belong to each court, with offspring 'demigods' acting as a mixture or harmony of the courts. It's theorized that the gods transcended our plane and created a new one above. What it's called - and what it may appear to be - differs between the different belief systems of each deity and their religion. There's no denying the mirror-like traits this has to the system of the Evil.   Evil-aligned 'deities', known better as Archdevils, are thought to have fled or perhaps been banished to The Hells. The Hells are believed to be split into three regions, distinct to each single Archdevil.   Between all of this is The Light and The Darkness. Akin to The Weave, which makes up the magic and mana of our world: The Light is considered the beginning of the universe, and The Darkness is considered the end. These are the core materials that make up everything we know - even the gods.

  Ai'Temhi, the Entropic Star
Chaotic Neutral   Clerical Domains - Grave, Trickery, Twilight
Elements - Time, Uncertainty, Change
Symbol - a seven-pointed star, or heptagram
"Long since linked with the abstract idea of entropy, Ai'Temhi is formally known as the Entropic Star - though enigmatic and incomprehensible, her grasp is all-consuming, and none may escape her forever. She is most commonly linked to the constant, inexorable passage of time; the uncertainty of the distant future; and the concept of change, for better or worse. Although she does not directly have any influence over death or the afterlife, this does not prevent laymen associating these concepts with her - as such, Ai'Temhi is commonly worshipped by gravekeepers, aspiring necromancers, and those with annoying elderly relatives. Shrines to her are common in graveyards as a result. To many, Ai'Temhi is the most fearsome of the Pantheon, for her domain is that of which cannot be truly known. Her strongest adherents, however (self-titled entropists), claim that Ai'Temhi's function is the most vital, for without her, the world would become stagnant and fixed.   Note: Of all the Pantheon, it is Ai'Temhi who has the strongest links to the Darkness, which represents chaos in all its forms. Although worship of her is not outlawed, the Order of the Light keeps a very close eye on those who espouse Ai'Temhi's teachings."

KNOWLEDGE

  • Neutral alignments.
  • Common themes of perfection, reason, intelligence, logic, and truth.
  • In nature this takes the form of water, lightning, and arcana.
  Quodaia, the
True Neutral   Clerical Domains -
Elements - Logic, Study, and Intelligence.
Symbol -
"Generally a cold goddess, Quodaia is known to try to hold logic and fact above all else. She is known to make what others would consider difficult choices in means of morals without hesitation. Her library is hidden from the world and believed to have long forgotten knowledge, as well as all currently known. Her followers tend to try and mimic her actions. Her temples often have massive libraries. What most don't know is that she melts when she's alone with Sybrial, and even with others around it's hard for her not too."       Sybrial, the
Neutral Good   Clerical Domains -
Elements - Intuition, Secrets, and Experience
Symbol -
"Generally a very warm goddess Sybrial, is known to often travel around the world, disguising herself to tell tales to help travelers on their journeys. She encourages people to go with what they feel is right, to follow gut feelings, to explore every avenue. Her pouch of scrolls is believed to hold predictions of the future, allowing her to give advice to adventurers, but her skills allow her to keep them from realizing it. Her followers are known to be spread wide, she has no large temples but rather shrines all over, places of rest and storytelling. What most don't know is that she can't lie at all to Quodaia, she just can't."
