Material Jealousy

Following the creation of the humanoid races, the ancient chromatic dragons desired more of Aesimir for themselves. They began attacking humanoid settlements, stealing and stashing away all treasures they could find. The ancient metallic dragons went to war on the behalf of the humanoids of Aesimir -- however, their combined strength was no match for the Chromatics. Only when all hope was lost did the deities finally intervene, sealing away the chromatic dragons under mountains of permafrost. In punishment for their draconian greed, the dragonborn race was cursed to exist in Ravorra.
