Wolves are servants of the Dark One, and act as his spies. The Hour of the wolf is a terrible omen.

Wolves serve no one but themselves. They have magical abilities to communicate with each other over great distances. Some wolves can take the shapes of men and walk among us unsuspected. Some can even speak human language.
