The Demon's Tears

The Demon's Tears are the name given to the celestial objects seen falling from The Demon Moon. The Demon Moon can be seen "weeping" frequently, and its tears burn like shooting stars in the sky. Witnessing the Demon's Tears fall from the sky at night is considered a bad omen. If they are bright enough to be seen during the day, the omen is even worse.
Nevertheless, the tears themselves, once they've landed, are incredibly valuable. Treasure hunters will often ride out in search of the tears when they appear in the sky. Sometimes they return with blackened rocks that are warm to the touch and contain a form of iron that is stronger than the finest dwarven-forged steel. More commonly, the hunters never return.
