Despite this there is a heavy undercurrent of fear. If the rumors are to be believed, demons walk the streets at night seeking to corrupt and undermine the holiness of the common faith. People go missing at night only to be found near the Basilica weeks later lacerated almost beyond recognition as if testing the Heirophants power.
