Personal history

Trained to become a beast hunter, though he had to maintain the family farm when he got a young lady pregnant.
Once the owner of a large farm within New Vahlta. Heavy Vahltain taxes and regulations forced him to sell his land during a famine. He began rabble rousing within the cities of New Vahlta stirring protest over Vahltain rule. Once he and a mob of fellow disgruntled citizens marched on Thomas Corkscrews manor demanding farmers be able to sell their crops as they please without mandatory shipments to Vahlta. Corkscrew called in a battalion of Vahltain soldiers to stifle them. This resulted in a violent massacre of many citizens when they would next vacate the area.
When word of this got out others began to question the Vahltain Empire's code of law. Orlan then founded the revolutionary militia Freemen of the Forests & Fields
