Archaic Scribe's Lament

"A star fell from the heavens and shook the earth. Leaving a permanent scar and veiling the skies with debris. The burning ashes cascaded from above coating the soil in a sheet of stillness. The mountains and caves spewed blackened smoke as free roaming flames incinerated all that could not escape it's path. The planet cried a caustic tar into the rivers and streams choking out life by it's throat. Such destruction brought forth by the elder mages to defend themselves from each other.
