Marvin Tulthak

(a.k.a. Flintknuckle)

Marvin prefers the nickname Flintknuckle and grumbles at anyone, other than his Ma, who calls him Marvin. Standing at 6’3 and 260 pounds Marvin can cut an imposing silhouette, his face is a mess of keloid scars and one broken tusk juts from his jaw. He is the eldest of four, the twins and his sister might only be half siblings but they have looked out for one another with intense loyalty. Flintknuckle moved to Amberpine 3 years ago, but sends half of the money he earns back to his sister Arris who cares for their mother. He tries his best to send short letters home weekly though frequently asks for others help with getting the spelling right.

Flintknuckle has frequently gotten in brawls and drunken altercations, as he gets easily frustrated when picked on for his less than stellar wit. He will send coins or a gift as an apology after he calms down or sobers up the next day. Most coin he earns comes from hunting and selling the meat and skins but Flintknuckle also keeps several drawings of flowers and other plants to sell to folks smart enough to make medicine.
