Zephys

The greatest of the aarakocran cities, Zephys is also the one which has the most foreign visitors. Hundreds can come and go everyday, the flightless ones accessing the city mostly by means of individual rides on tamed flying beasts, the few rare and wondrous flight crystals available almost entirely used in the city's own flight, the others used on the platforms for large groups and delegations or cargo going through the city. It is also the only Aarakocran city to have a know access to the Elemental Plane of Air, at least, before the @Second Isolation disabled that portal again. Even while closed, that portal always conferred a particularly windy weather to the city, the open buildings only minimaly impairing it's course, and a slight chill in the air. The fluttering of birds and various sentient flying species can always be heard around, even in the middle of the night, and any aroma that catches your nose one second is likely to have been blown away the next.

Infrastructure

The city, once perhaps the most mundane of the Aarakocran cities, now shines thanks to it's @flight crystals. These support the uprooted landmass on which the city rests, disposed on an elaborate metallic ring around the base of the city at somewhat regular intervals, with the largest one resting at the very heart of the city, only the top visible under a protective dome in the city building.
