Aerda
Welcome to Aerda, a world full of many possibilities, but beset at all times by war. The diverse landscapes, from the rolling meadows of the manmade Empire of the Blue Sun to the ancient forests of Ymerodraethi High Elves, hold countless secrets and stories waiting to be uncovered. Among the numerous inhabitants are the Wodenji Wood Elves in the Isles of Izu; the Druidic humans in the island nation of Skärguard; and the human nation of Velandria, located within an eternally frozen tundra savannah.
The history of Aerda is marked by immense change as a result of a celestial cataclysm that led to humanity's introduction to this plane. Over time, native races like elves, dwarves, and orcs have dwindled in number and war among themselves to maintain their homeland. The dragons and giants once present on Aerda were defeated by humanity five millennia ago, leaving myths and legends about fantastical creatures.
Amidst this turmoil, forbidden knowledge lies hidden in dark lands and ancient ruins. The once vast world is now reduced to pockets of light within these civilizations. Boundaries set by organizations like the Valousian Orthodoxy seek to control access to powers like arcane magic and divine magics under their god Valous.
As the end times loom large over Aerda, tensions continue to rise amongst its inhabitants and shape their fate. The uncharted expanses are filled with mysteries ready for brave adventurers daring enough to rediscover them – for better or for worse.
