The Indrik dragonborn tribes of La Tierra de Los Dracones

Far in the south of the world, at least as far as any imperial map goes, the Indrik dragonborn people struggle for survival on the harsh land under the burning blue sun day after day. A dry land of brown and tan, arid mesas and canyons with rivers, La Tierra de Los Dracones remains largely unexplored by most human surveyors of any kingdom, as most would prefer not leaving the comfort of their green hills, forests, and chilly north. Shrubs and cacti dot the land as gusts of wind form dust devils that blind you with dirt. Giant serpentine basilisks and snakes, over-sized scorpions, and other critters equipped for the harsh land live here, among the Indrik people, who’s rough reptilian features protect them mostly from the terrain. With secondary eyelids to protect from dust storms, the tribes of this land usually favor homesteading and ranching large avian cattle, huge flightless birds that make for good meat, giant eggs, and even work as worthwhile mounts across the uneven dirt and rocks. Some tribes however remain in their adobe cities built into the sides of the features carved into the land itself.
Their language is one that flitters around the tongue in their draconic mouths, best fit for them to speak but humans are very capable of replicating it. The Indrik people are to be distinguished from their Wild Lizardmen counterparts that roam the desert and plains, robbing and sacking any unfortunate travelers who veer away from the worn and hard to find paths. For one, the lizardmen have heads more replicant of crocodilians and some varieties even look like bipedal humanoid iguana, while the Indrik peoples distinctively resemble their dragon ancestors, and are much fiercer and less uncanny in appearance than the lizardmen.
The land itself is known to humans as the graveyard of wyrms, as the leviathan sized skeletons of ancient dead dragons lay across the plains. Some so huge and ancient, that dust storms have swept dirt over their corpses to form the mesas that the people live inside. Crooked back mountains and plateaus of draconic shape give credence to this, as fossils of the ancient beings are under nearly every footstep.
Along with fending off the wild lizardmen of the land and the natural deadly oversized creatures who inhabit it, the Indrik people have been waging a defensive war against the Dark elves, the Drodraeth, who descend from the wastelands to the east to attempt to forcefully push the dragonborn out of their homes. Battles of this nature have been fought for millennia over this land, but never do the Drodraeth make it very far before the Indrik retake anything stolen from them, as they are built for the land itself.
