Silvestre, The Southern Kingdoms

Far to the south of the empire, above the deserts of Indrik lies the land of Silvestre, a fertile and beautiful land of rolling green hills and thick green forests, ever clear rivers and a merry people. The men and elves of this land celebrate life as if it were a never ending celebration, a reason to drink and hold festivals of lights. Beasts from faraway lands are captured and dragged to the arena here for the people of the land to watch as noble knights in glinting armor slaughter them for sport. A land almost fictionally beautiful, but full of the ruins of ancient long dead elven kingdoms that used to live here. A human queen rules, but the people and remaining elves have long since integrated into one peaceful accord, living happily together as one in this place.
Vineyards and small farms dot the landscape, and the people are mostly kept safe by the bands of knights that quest around the land, searching for honor and glory to their names. If all seems too good to be true when imagining this land, that might be because it is. The empire has been prodding at their borders for quite some time, but without the church of Valous being widely worshipped here, they’ve had no foot in the door for confederation. Luckily for the people of this land, the empire is also distracted with other, more urgent affairs in other borders, for now…
