The First War

60000

The war between the Titans and the Gods.

It was on then an unlikely voice spoke up. Kali, the mother goddess, who had had nothing but love in her heart since she was born, spoke words of violence. Of resistance. Of war. Kali had not just had pride in her work but had felt love for every living thing. With every death, Kali’s heart had been broken and now, there was little left but rage. At first, the gods were silent, stunned. Such a thing was blasphemy. Impossible. Unthinkable. The gods argued and protested, but one by one, their arguments crumbled. And thus began the First War. Fathers against children, the Gods threw themselves at the Titans. The war lasted as long as creation had, and a terrible war it was. Where the blood of the Titans fell, monsters sprung, creatures with none of the love that Gaia had given to her children, only the rage of their father. While the gods had at first had the upper hand, with every successful strike, their enemies multiplied. The Titans could not be killed, only shattered. It became clear that if the war continued, the entirety of creation would be covered in monsters and that no life could ever prosper in the aftermath. Once again, the Gods gathered. A new plan was agreed on, one that would not be the death of the Titans, but their imprisonment. As the gods returned to the fray, Vulcan retreated to his workshop and set about making his grandest work yet. Tartarus. This time, rather than trying to slay the Titans, the Gods wrestled them. One by one, the Titans were captured and when they were, thrown into the depths of Tartarus prison.
