The Return of a Kaiju

Taldoran wizards uses the Empress' blood to summon a Kaiju, defeating the False Emperor.

A site of a sleeping Kaiju had already been found by the wizards and now all they needed was to wait for the enemy to get there. As Theodore’s armies appeared on the horizon, their tattered banners defiantly dancing in the wind, the Wizards began their ritual. Speaking in old words, they cut Empress Sophia with runed daggers, drawing out the power. The enemy was almost on them when the ground shook and the Kaiju awakened. Exploding from the earth, the Kaiju Ferosis roared his awakened rage into the world. A beast with two heads, one spewing fire, the other acid, with claws the length of a warship and teeth to match, Ferosis was large enough to walk past mountains. Even the prideful hearts of the brave barbarians of the north was shaken at the sight and as it set about slaughtering them, the enemy armies was thrown into a panicked retreat. Hundreds of thousands were crushed, burned or dissolved under the wrath of Ferosis, though Theodore once again managed to escape. Powerful and clever as she may have been, however, Empress Sophia was no Kaiju King and she felt her control of the beast weakening as her blood dripped onto the floor. She knew that if she lost control, though the enemy may have been driven out, Ferosis would do as much damage to Taldor as they would have. Grabbing a runed dagger from the hands of one of the Wizards, she cut open her throat, her blood flowing freely, and with the last of her life, ordered Ferosis back to his sleep. With her death, the war was ended, but so was the second house of Taldor.
