The Second House of Taldor ensures a long period of relative peace.

As Emperor, Friedrich instituted a peace that lasted the majority of his reign and to which he made his heirs swear to always cleave. The terrors of the War of the False haunted him to his death and it lead to him securing peace treaties with all his neighbours. Upon his death, he was laid to rest in that very tomb where Justain had been lain. Friedrich’s Peace lasted almost 500 years.
