Tiberius becomes Emperor and a new Kaiju Republic is made.
With the Imperator dead, Tiberius helpfully stepped into his position and declared that the time of the Imperium was at an end and that a new Republic was to be formed. Rewarding his co-conspirators with powerful positions as Consuls, the now highest office in the land and they, in turn, crowned him Emperor. All seemed to be going well for the new Republic as the people greeted a return to the Senate and democracy. The Senate, however, turned out to be even more corrupt and decadent than ever before. Manipulating elections became commonplace and bribes became the foremost income source of Senators. Tiberius himself became ever more paranoid, burdened by guilt and the heavy burdens of running a Republic ruled by corrupt egomaniacs, all with their own agendas. As rumors of Tiberius having killed the Imperator started to spread, rebellions started appearing around the Republic. Though the military could strike them down, it was always bloody and the Kaijus gorged on the flesh of the commoners often. And then began the murders.
