The Mirror Shield Concordat

Elves and dwarves unite to drive out the Star Legionnaires.

It took a meeting of Avalon and the Seven Mountain Kings to reverse the war. What became known as the Mirror Shield Concordat was signed between the elven and Dwarven kingdoms. In this agreement, elven artisans taught the dwarves the secrets of metallurgy and glass working. In turn, the dwarves offered up the Sky Metals they had scrounged from the bodies of the few Star Legionnaires their siege weapons had managed to slay. The Dwarven shields were coated with thin layers of bright Sky Metal and covered with glass, giving them reflective properties that would protect against the beams of light. The elves, in turn, were equipped with arrow tips of dark Sky Metal, capable of penetrating the enemy's armor and bows made of coppery Sky Metal, letting them unleash volleys with speeds matching the enemy rate of fire. Elven and Dwarven armies under one single banner marched now against the invaders from the star. It was a war of glory and of death, where songs that are sung to this day were authored and where heroes were born and died.
