Knights of Melthor hunt and kill druids whom they suspect of belonging to Gaia's Wrath

The druids of Melthor had long been pushed to the fringes of society in Melthor, especially as the knightly orders started to spread, but the levels of persecution reached a new level during what became known as the Melthorian Inquisition. During early summer, a bear slew several children in the southern areas of Melthor and it didn't take long before priests started blaming the druids: Either they had been negligent in keeping the wild animals under control or they had been downright active in cajoling the bear. Either way, they were complicit. When the king at first refused to root out the druids, resentment amongst the populace grew, with mobs chasing out druids and followers of their ways from cities. It truly grew, however, when five Knight's Masters joined the hunt. Forming an informal union, called the Inquisition, the knights offered their forces to help the priests hunt down and slay those who performed Druidry across the land. At the end of the inquisition, not only was druidry was all but destroyed in Melthor, but other spiritual and religious paths left willingly, making way for the clergy to gain a monopoly on the priestly duties.
