The Kaiju Kings Cometh

Founding

The Kaiju Kings arise.

As the human nations prospered, they inevitably came to war. Empires fell as quickly as they rose, with lives lost in every revolution and royal clash. As if that was not enough tragedy, the Titanspawn started reappearing. The humans, however, were not the only creatures who had noticed the fall of Avalon and the elven kingdoms. Slithering from their depths, the Titanspawn returned to terrorize the worlds of men. Cities were burned, ships dragged to the bottom of the sea and kingdoms trampled. Humanity might have perished in its infancy had it not been for the appearance of a Cabal of mages. In their long exile, a small group of humans had discovered arcane magic, had gleaned the secret foundational workings of reality and had bent it to their will. Using their secret knowledge, the mages bound the Kaiju as their servants and turned Titanspawn upon Titanspawn, driving those they did not bind out of the lands of men. When the Titanspawn had been driven out, however, the human kingdoms promptly returned to warring with each other. The mages, being well-read, had thought a common enemy would have united the kingdoms of men much like it had those of the elves and dwarves, but it seemed they had underestimated the warlike nature of man.
