The Empire of Dyonicus

On the western edge of Evesair, a young nation stands with the strength of stone and steel.

We defeated our enemies in battle, We secured our independence, we will unify this world under the flag of our mighty empire and end corruption in the blackest reaches of Evesair.
-Lord Maefestier Pillar of War

Structure

Emperor Dyon III at the head of the organization, who hasn't been physically seen in 10 years. Who is represented by The Sitting Council

Public Agenda

The Empire is known as a young nation. Viewed by some as upstarts, and as heroes by others. They seek to find economic security and establish themselves as a strong world economy. They hold dominion completely over a major shipping lane and seek to maintain that control.

Assets

Imperial gold is sparse, but The Empire functions mostly on bartering within its own borders. Imperial war is waged with the recently tamed Minotaur tribes of western Evesair. And for the first time the minotaurs have been made part of a nation. They wage war with mighty Halberd's and shields, making devastating shock troops.   The empire also maintains a selection of Sailing ships, and the Imperial Trader's Guild is one of the most valuable sources of gold for the Empire right now.   They have a natural mountain range border, which is also where they mine the majority of their metals and stone.   Mighty Minotaur castles constructed by the Taurusaak Miner's guild are so common that they are seldom mapped out. Contributing highly to the defensive state of The Empire

History

Many of the younger people of Evesair don't remember the civil war that split the Vorunstein Diarchy in half. It was a time when the majority of Evesair stood under a single banner. The Nation of Two Kings.   The Expansion Period

Vorunstein Diarchy was the largest Nation in the known world, and her name was known beyond that. It's economy was strong, perpetuated by military conquest and a strong need for expansion. Northern Colonies to the Tundra's of High March and as east most as present day Arben. The Diarchy was the Cultural Gem of Evesair.

Born of a strong need for focus, The Diarchy set it's sights on the next great conquest, training her armies for the invasion of the west. So much was unknown about it's strange lands and wondrous sights, Emperor's Akra and Dion Vorunstein knew that it was the next great expansion for their nation.   They sent for the then governor of Trelega, Asanuel Saaket over a matter of his slaves for labor's involving siege engines, weapons and mail, defensive sites and the like.   The ensuing conflict would come to be known as the Diarch's War. And would result in a crushing defeat over a span of 7 years. Leaving The Vorunstein Diarchy broken and fragmented. Just like the relationship between emperor Dion and Akra.   The Rise of the Empire   Dion was approached by a stranger from another world. One who offered him the power to start his own nation. The ability to rally those to his cause that would see him be placed on the throne. Dion accepted.   As his followers flocked to his cause, a Coup was staged. Etania and the western cities of the Diarchy pledged themselves to his cause.   Open conflict was imminent, the veterans of the Diarch's War still young and fresh, prepared to fight again, this time against their former comrades in arms.   The spark that ignited the Anastarian Civil War was the rising of the Orcs against their Governers in Trelega. The Orc's conquered trelega, and immediately gathered their forces in preparation for the invasion of Anastaria. Pledging their assistance to Dion's Forces, Anastaria was besieged by Khovaesh Veterans from Etania. When the troops advanced on Anastaria they found the city was no longer there. And was harassed by desperate Guerrilla war from the locals, desperate to not lose their homes.   It is believed that well over sixty-two-thousand rebel soldiers died in the swamps of Anastaria. And the war ended in a stalemate. Although the wife of Akra Vorunstein, Samai Vorunstein, was killed during the siege.   In the end Dion proved his right to rule, and the diarchy was split into two nations. The now independent Empire of Dyonicus, and the Vorunstein Diarchy, now called Anastaria.
