Sugurd

At the base of the fiery mountain lay the city of Sugurd, wide and sprawling. No glamorous palaces or political intrigue to be found here, only black smoke and harsh furnaces. This was a manufacturing city, a producer of iron and steel. No blacksmiths producing swords, however, in Sugurd steel was made. Iron and coal were mined from the mountains, along with precious metals. These were refined in Sugurd and transported to Asleigh for working. There were jobs aplenty in Sugurd, as the need for miners never abated.

Demographics

Mostly poor people who came to get work. A few richer people, owners of refineries and such.

Geography

At the base of a volcanically inactive mountain, but the magma is but to use in furnaces.
