Ipandrelles

The pale yellow sun rose over the Ipandrelles, the sharp peaks of the jagged mountains slicing into a cloudless blue sky. The snow-capped mountains thrust upwards, so high that few climbers ever reached the top, and none lived to tell of the breathtaking beauty one saw at the summit, the whole world unrolled before their feet. Beams of golden light shone down onto the world, lighting up the morning, causing bats to fly back to their caves, owls to step into their nests, giving one last hoot to echo in the forest. The forests and plains of the world awoke, animals going about their morning business, birds winging their way across the spring landscape, songbirds singing their songs, the tap tap of woodpeckers resounding across the grass plains.

Tall, centralized mountain range. Many hidden lakes and valleys. A few twisting passes, but the main roads go around.
